Early Settlement Mechanics & Buyout Economics

Why Early Settlement Differs from Remaining Installments in Debt Buyouts: Under SAMA Consumer Financing Regulations (Article 82) and Responsible Lending Principles, lenders are strictly prohibited from retaining unearned future profit charges when a borrower settles early or transfers debt. The early settlement amount consists strictly of the remaining principal balance plus allowable reinvestment compensation capped at a maximum of 3 months of declining profit, plus non-refundable third-party costs. In a debt buyout, the new purchasing institution clears the previous lender's net settlement balance and issues a new facility, reducing monthly outflow or unlocking additional liquidity once switching costs break even.
